Taiji Qigong Nuanshen Fa or Warm-up Exercises for Tai Chi Qigong can be practiced as stand alone qigong or as warm-ups to more rigorous tai chi qigong exercises, in particular, tai chi chuan. That is because they offer so many health benefits that exceed the mere value of regular warm-ups.
For many of my students, these exercises are preferable over all other comparable qigong exercises, in addition to qigong warm-ups. They combine practical benefits with synchronous grace, balance and coordination, and simple beauty.
Another advantage? These exercises incorporated in two books are relatively short and easy to learn with extended repetitive cycles. All five exercises take about twenty minutes in total to complete.
