Ever heard of PEMF technology? Its many benefits in reducing pain, inflammation, and chronic illness are nothing short of miraculous!
As many of my friends and tai chi qigong students know, I have always been interested in natural health and anything that promotes it. What few people know is my journey with PEMF technology as it pertains to my personal health and that of my friends and family. Let me start from the beginning.
In 2008, I developed fibroids, benign tumours on my uterus. While these were not malignant or cancer producing, nevertheless, they grew very quickly and caused me much debilitating pain.
By the time I was finally able to get a partial hysterectomy, my uterus with the tumours had grown so big, it got wedged against my spine, pressing and causing extensive damage to the nerves on my spine. The neuropathy resulted in a combination of numbness, and both tingling and acute pain 24/7. Worse, no amount of painkillers could alleviate that pain.
Fast forward several years later: I had already tried all kinds of medications and herbs in an attempt to alleviate the pain, I had tried massage therapy, acupuncture and other forms of alternative therapy, but nothing worked. My condition deteriorated so that I could no longer practice the tai chi I loved so much and was limited to just quiescent meditation to help me control my pain.
At that time, I had heard about pulse electromagnetic field therapy, better known by its acronym PEMF, but commercial devices were so expensive at the time, I could not afford it. Most of them were priced at around a hundred thousand dollars.
Even now, not all hospitals can afford to invest in these because of the hefty price tag attached to them, especially when they are not even approved for most medical conditions by regulatory health agencies —more on this later. So I continued to research it, knowing that as time progressed, the technology would not only improve but eventually become more affordable.
But why consider buying a device that is so expensive?! Suffice to say, I did thorough research on PEMF technology, reading as much as I could on clinical studies (and there are literally thousands!) in addition to watching hours of videos to better understand the technology and its potential benefits.
Well the pricing did eventually come down, and I eventually ended up buying two different mats and one portable device, three in total, not to mention two more for both my mother and my brother. The first mat I bought was from the company Healthyline, and later from Sedona Wellness.
My first consideration in buying a mat over a portable device was that it could treat my entire body, since I had so many conditions that I wanted to address. I had also bought a portable device to wear when I was not lying on the mat, but the disadvantage with it was that the device was good for treating only small localized areas of pain.
I liked the Healthyline mat because it not only had the pulsating electromagnetic field feature but also heat, which was very soothing in treating my pain. Unfortunately, the PEMF was not very effective and the mat didn’t last very long: shortly after a year, it stopped working. For $1500+ I wasn’t sure it was worth the price. Yes, it had good reviews and I still enjoy it for its soothing heat, but not for its not-so-effective pulse electromagnetic field capabilities.
So after a few years I then decided to invest in the Sedona Pro, the price of which was significantly more expensive than the Healthyline mats — and yes, over the years, I have bought more than one Healthyline heated mat, as I did love the heat that I found so soothing when I slept on the mat, especially on cold winter nights!
But my reason for investing in the much more expensive Sedona Pro is that if you want something to work for you, you need to be willing to commit to it financially. I had already spent thousands of dollars on painkillers, herbs, massage therapies, and a host of other alternative health therapies, not to mention the Healthyline heated mats, all with minimum benefit.
After researching the Sedona Pro, I decided this mat offered better quality PEMF than competing companies, and Sedona Wellness had a longer and stronger reputation than Healthyline, in addition to excellent reviews.
What’s more, Sedona offered an extended lifetime warranty! That particular feature alone sold me on the product: for someone to offer a lifetime warranty on the product convinced me that the manufacturer must be very confident of his product!
Well, Franz Zach did live up to his promise to serve his customers well. Although the mat comes with a manual that specifies settings for the protocols to address various medical conditions, I never bother with the manual any more but email Franz directly, and he gives me customized settings to address any condition I ask of him.
If you have health conditions that you want addressed with no negative side effects, then I strongly recommend including PEMF technology in your therapeutic treatments. Pulse electromagnetic field technology is probably the best investment I ever made for my health and for my family.
Nine years ago, I had been spending so much money on different therapies with no significant improvement. The neuropathy was affecting my mobility and the pain was impacting my quality of sleep as well as overall lifestyle, that my family physician at the time suggested I apply for disability. Thank goodness I did not take his advice! This amazing technology has literally given me my life back!
Just bear in mind there are many different kinds of PEMF technology out there with varying degrees of quality. Unfortunately, most of these are not health approved devices, and quality can range widely from extremely poor to excellent, with probably more than 90% of them being very mediocre in quality in that you won’t see any or very minimal results.
